Getting started
Merchant setup
Signup already gives you a Test merchant. Set up keys, webhooks, and your team, then test. A Live profile exists only after live access is approved.
Profiles and channels
Each merchant has one or more profiles:
- Test (Sandbox) from the moment you sign up, or Live after VenPays approves live access
- Optional success/fail return URLs
- Associated API keys
Website / API profiles expose Integration Settings and Webhooks for server-to-server checkout.
QR / platform profiles expose Payment Links, Payment Streams, and Invoices in the dashboard.
Payment connectors
Connectors (Benefit, Mastercard, Benefit Web Checkout, Apple Pay certificates) are configured by VenPays for your merchant. Contact support if you need Apple Pay certificates or provider credentials updated.
Sandbox merchants may receive default test connectors automatically.
Checkout branding
The hosted card page uses the merchant profile:
| Profile field | Where the customer sees it |
|---|---|
| Merchant name | Hosted card checkout, and the Apple Pay sheet display name |
| Payment page logo | Hosted card checkout |
| Website | Hosted card checkout |
Upload the logo and set the website on the merchant profile in the dashboard. Use a public https image URL (PNG, JPEG, or WebP). The JavaScript checkout session returns merchant_name for your own UI; card entry itself stays on the hosted page above.
Team access
Invite users and assign roles (for example admin, viewer, manager, operator, or custom) with permissions such as refunds, webhooks, API keys, and invoice creation.
Next: API credentials.
