Getting started
Going live
Apply for live access only after you have signed up and the Test integration is going well.
When to apply
Stay in Test while you integrate. Use Test API keys, the Test Payment Engine, and the Sandbox test cards. Apply for live access when payments, status checks, refunds, and webhooks behave the way you need.
Switching the dashboard header to Live before you are approved opens the live access application. It does not turn on live payments.
Application
- In the dashboard header, switch from Test to Live.
- Complete the application:
- Business profile (legal name, CR, address, IBAN, and related fields)
- Documents (commercial registration, CPR, IBAN certificate, and an identity document)
- Contract signing
- Submit the application. VenPays reviews it. Status is pending until a decision is made.
- If it is rejected, open the application again and submit a new request.
Required documents must be uploaded before the request is accepted. VenPays approves those documents as part of granting live access.
After approval
- The header Live switch now opens the live dashboard.
- Create Live API keys on a Live profile. Those keys use the
pk_live_/sk_live_prefixes. - Point your backend to
https://merchant.venpays.com. - Point checkout links and pages at the Live hosts returned by the API.
- Register Live webhook endpoints (HTTPS).
- Confirm connector configuration (Mastercard, Benefit, Apple Pay) with VenPays.
Test keys and Test data stay separate from Live. See the Production checklist.
